Corporate brand
This is what the dictionary says under the entry “brand.” Now the question is what does it mean to an everyday person. A brand means image: Not just what it looks like, logos, emblems, style, but also the image of quality, or reliability, or lack there of.

History of brands
Before the industrial revolution, most of the products used around the home were made in that home. The average person would just buy the raw materials needed and make it himself.

Criticisms of brands
Not everyone believes in the ideas of brand names. Many believe that brand names are just a shield of hype and advertisement to protect things like extremely underpaid outsourcing labor

Brand equity
The term “brand equity” refers to the companies faith that the will continue to sell better then non-brand products in that market. It is figured by placing the believed revenue of the product against the believed revenue of a non-brand. This estimation is of the actual quality of the product, as well as the image the public has of it, which can never really be accurately measured. This means that brand equity is estimation, or guess at it’s most accurate.

Small Businesses And Branding
Branding not only will give your business a corporate image to hold consistently in mind, it will also be a way to communicate the real products, services, and benefits that your
business offers, no matter what its size.
