Information about Brand Management
Brand
Management
Marketing a brand in an effort to increase
its popularity among the consumer is a tricky business.
A good brand name should do these things
There are a few basic guidelines to follow when thinking of a
brand name. First of all, the name it’s self. Is it be a name that can
be copy written, and trademarked? Is it easy to remember and easy to
pronounce? It should stand out somewhat, and project a positive image.
It should suggest the products quality, or convenience. It should also
be original.
Brand rationalization
When a company has too many brand names in
too many markets, they begin to make less and less money, and their
attention is divided between a number of different markets and fields
Problems associated with setting objectives for a
brand
Management issues often come into play when
it comes to any type of marketing or advertising plan. Very often, plans
amount to short term goals and objectives that while profitable in the
long run, will be eventually out paced by competitors using management
techniques that are designed for the long-term goals.
