Logos today

With so many thousands of multinational organizations, let alone nationwide and local, the number of logos is staggering. Logotypes have become more popular. There are notable exceptions to this, such as the Nike emblem. It can be recognized the world over for what it is. On the other hand, General Electronics, GE for short. How many companies out there can be shortened to GE? To fix this, though, they have a logotype that consists of the letter G and E, stylized in cursive, in a circle. This has the name of the company, along with a recognizable logo.

Another reason that logos have changed is because there is now a global economy. The majority of consumers in Brittan will not understand Japanese names, English words will be lost in eastern Russia, and languages like Arabic will be largely lost in Asia. Any one of these, though, might recognize the circular logo used by Toyota.
