TThe general idea of marketing is really quite simple. It is a process by which the manufacturer connects in a beneficial way to the consumer. The manufacturer needs to know what the consumer wants, and the consumer needs to know what the manufacturer is capable of producing. Author and marketing genius divided marketing into four steps. Step one is to analyze the market. Find a need. Second, comes getting the attention of the buyer. Make your offer, display your wares. Next, you need to get them to want what it is you’re displaying or offering. The last step in modern marketing is getting them to pay for it; beyond just having them say “what a good idea.”

This came to be an accepted form by first forming a theory. Human nature was the basis for this theory. Then the study of economics, and a little inductive logic, and you have a marketing strategy.
